The only reason Moffat put Sherlock in at the end of that episode instead of leaving us like Arthur is because back in the Arthur Conan Doyle days they didn’t have the level of technology to continously annoy someone all day everyday.
Moffat knows the abuse his mate Arthur went through.
He knows we would maul him.
